The First Step To Being A Hero

On Bluesky, I can be more direct about teaching leaders.  But There are still questions of "how"?

I know the WHAT: help 1 million people escape suffering, embrace joy, and be of service.

Why?  Because it is my dharma.  Its repaying my teachers, and walking the road of mastery, which demands sharing (IMO).

HOW?  Let's look at the notion of "Leader" as being similar to "Hero". I mean, people follow their heroes, so this is reasonable.  Let me go back to the beginning, with the very first pattern I ever created for self-improvement, the "LIFEWRITING" pattern of the Hero's Journey (process) and the Chakras (dynamic structure.)

Hero's Journey first.

  1. Hero confronted with a challenge.   Human beings and all living things crave homeostasis.  We'll settle in and root until something disturbs us enough to motivate a real change.  The "challenge" will ALWAYS be something that either threatens pain (fire in a skyscraper) or offers a chance of pleasure (finding the Ark of the Covenant!)

Ultimately, then, the challenge will be something on that continuum of escaping suffering, embracing joy, and being of service.  If you are a writer, simply see where your character is there, and what they need to grow, and pump up the pain or pleasure until they act.

In YOUR life…we want leaders. NEED leaders.  People willing to commit, to risk, to live lives where fear does not stop them from pleasure or duty. Such leaders need to have already solved the analogs of whatever change they want to see socially: if they want the world to be more loving, THEY need to have dealt with their fear and anger first.  The only way to guide others is to take them along a path you yourself have followed.

So…whether in writing or life, decide the challenge you will face, the one which, if overcome, will take you to a new level of life.  DON'T ever settle for "just enough" because there is no way to break even…time is playing the game with you, and what YOU think is breaking even is just getting older and more tired.

So…decide.  And move on to the next step.
